About Mitzi
Meet Mitzi.
Sadly Mitzi was surrendered into our care as her owner could no longer look after her.
This super friendly older lady is looking for a loving retirement home.
Mitzi will make a wonderful companion; all the shelter staff adore her.
If you would like to come and meet Mitzi she is currently living at the shelter.
We are open from 9am until 12 noon to the public every day except Wednesday and Saturday.
Medical notes
Mitzi has Hyperthyroidism, that is, an overactive thyroid gland. For this condition she requires a tablet twice daily for life, along with veterinary check ups a few times a year.
She has been on this medication for a few months while in our care and we believe it is now time for her to find herself a loving home.
Mitzi is a very good girl when it comes to taking her medication.
Mitzi is also on liquid meloxicam given orally once daily for her arthritis.
On a positive note, she has the most wonderful teeth for an old girl!
