About Lulu ~ Bull Arab X Puppy(On Trial 15/1/22)
Lulu is a beautiful and affectionate bull arab cross breed who will grow to be quite big!. Her age was estimated at approx 10 weeks old on 1st Jan 2022. She is currently in care with her brother and until recently was in a litter of 5 healthy pups.
Lulu has settled in quickly to her foster home, instantly sleeping through the night in her crate or kennel. She already knows how to sit for treats, usually makes it to the grass for toilet training and is happily sharing space alongside her brother for meals. She is quickly learning to fetch and how to walk on a loose lead. She loves chewing her squeaky toys and enjoys running and rumbling around with her brother. She would likely benefit from a family with an older tolerant / calm dog for company and to show her how to be the best behaved girl she can be.
All puppies have sharp little teeth, and this pup (combined with her adult size) will be best suited to older or dog savvy children, respectful of the dog’s need for quiet safe spaces. Consistent training will be needed to redirect her bites and energy to chew toys. A new family would need to show a strong commitment to ongoing training and socialisation with other dogs.
Someone home most of the day is essential in the early days of training and settling in. Lulu will need to be welcome inside with her people to be part of the family. She is learning quickly to not jump up on beds or lounges.
Please do not apply if you: 1. Live in an apartment or townhouse with no back yard. 2. Have small or no fences (rural fencing is not considered secure enough for this dog) 3. All family members are away most of the day. 4. Have not considered that a puppy is a 10-15 year commitment and a new family member.
We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member / friend possible.
As these puppies are not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption in Newcastle and surrounds as they will need to be returned to our local vet for desexing when 5-6 months old. They are not available for interstate or long distance adoption.
Lulu is currently in foster care in Newcastle NSW. Her adoption fee is $700 which includes all up to date vet work, ie vaccination, microchipping, flea / worming treatments and desexing. You can see more about her at:
