Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Harvey ( Was Squirmy)
Little Squirmy is looking for his forever home. Could it be with you?
Squirmy is a very handsome and sweet little boy who will melt your heart.
He was rescued by SCAR with his 10 other littermates at only a few days old. They were hand raised by our very dedicated foster families who have cared for them around the clock, ensuring that they had every chance of survival and getting them to the stage of being ready for adoption.
He loves playing, exploring in the garden, cuddles (lots of them) and falling asleep in your arms. Squirmy has been living with his brother Dusty, and foster sister Mavis (who is a small dog around 3 years old). He has spent some time around young children and met another puppy as well.
At first he can be a little shy, but with time (and food) he becomes interested in making new friends. Squirmy will do well in a home with a backyard and with someone/a family who can continue with his training. Squirmy has not been on a walk yet as he is too little, but given he enjoys his time outside, he may also enjoy getting out and about when he is ready.
He is likely to be a medium sized adult dog. He loves to explore the yard and he LOVES being around this humans, especially when it is playtime and/or cuddle time!!
His new ideal home will be one where his new family will be committed to training and socialising him (puppy school and ongoing obedience training will be essential) and one with LOTS of love and cuddles to give!!!
Squirmy's adoption fee includes all of his medical work (he has been desexed, had his first vaccination, microchipped, flea and worm treated), a bag of premium puppy food and a spot in our 5 week puppy school course at the SCAR shelter.
He is ready to go into his new home today... so don't hesitate to apply as we are sure that this gorgeous boy will not be around for long!!
**Application Process**
When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption centre in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you.
