If there is a centre of attention to be had, you can bet Dahlia wants to be it. This confident girl loves to steal the limelight and let you know that she is here and ready to be adored.

Dahlia is very affectionate and will hang around her people demanding cuddles and pats. She is a little affection sponge, soaking up all the love she can, whenever she can.

Dahlia and her sisters had a rough start to life. These girls (Lily and Posie, also listed on Pet Rescue) were dumped in a suburban park near a main road and were only saved when a passerby noticed their distress.

Luckily Dahlia and her sisters came into our care and we helped them through their ordeal and showed them that not all people are bad. Dahlia responded with great joy and she has become supremely loving and affectionate as a result.

Dahlia is outgoing, adventurous and afraid of very little – including the vacuum cleaner. She is bold and brave for someone so small, and she is not choosy about who she wants attention from! Dahlia is great with children and adults alike.

This pretty dark tabby and white girl is also very social with other cats but because she is high energy she would not be suited as company to an old cat – she needs another young kitty who can keep up with her. She might dominate and annoy an older cat, so a cat under 5 years would be ideal.

Dahlia has not been tested on dogs however with the right slow and careful introductions to a small cat-friendly dog, she might do okay.

If you are looking for a solo kitty to adopt, Dahlia might fit the bill however you need to offer a home where there are a lot of people around most of the time. Dalia will not cope being left alone for a big part of the day or night. Isolation is not her friend.
