About Poppy
Hello there my name is Poppy!
I came to the shelter with my brother through no fault of my own. The change in environment was quite scary for me. After spending some time here at the
RSPCA I am learning how to be a more confident girl, making amazing progress every day.
I do love my food - especially chicken! The easiest way to win me over would be to spend some time with me giving me yummy treats and lots of positive
encouragement. A quiet low-traffic room with everything a kitten needs would be best to set me up in. This will provide me with a space I can feel safe in,
without overwhelming me with access to the whole home straight away.
I am a very sweet girl once you get to know me, but I'm still trying to figure out how to interact with humans. I will allow pats and often lean into them while
purring and kneading, but my forever family will have to understand it takes me some time to establish trust. For this reason, I am after a quiet household
that has had experience with cats in the past, so they can understand when I am looking for attention and when I am happy doing my own thing.
If you would love to come and meet me please ask the staff at front counter.
