About Kovu
Kovu was a stray, found at a primary school and surrendered into DCH’s care. He was malnourished and quite wary of humans, loud and unexpected noises sometimes still scare him.
Kovu has a great appetite and is especially excited and vocal when dinner is bbq chook. He is shy when meeting new people; you will need to be slow and patient with him and help him to build some extra confidence. He needs a family that can spend time handling and playing with him. Don’t worry, he does warm up to you eventually and he is quite a character once he feels safe.
He is a sweet, happy little boy who is looking for an understanding and caring family to share a wonderful long life together. He loves to play with feathery toys and enjoys running through the cat tunnel or up the cat tower during crazy zoom time. He adores cuddle sessions with my daughter and will lay with her for hours purring and snuggling
He was easy going when it came to his foster brother Leo and happily accepted him into our home. He enjoys running around playing with him but i think he would prefer if Leo had an off switch sometimes. Kovu is a chill, relaxed kitten that prefers his playtime and naptime to be equal.
We have spent a little time outside in the enclosure and while he did eventually, start to play with his foster brother he was still quite jumpy at times, so would be best suited to an indoor only home.
Oddly enough, during his first vet visit he didn’t seem scared or even react to a dog barking so there is a possibility he could be very slowly introduced to a home with a gentle dog.
Kovu has been has been treated for fleas/worms and vaccinated. He will be microchipped and desexed and ready for his forever home by January 8th.
He is currently eating Ivory coat kitten dry food and Fancy feast wet food and is using breeder’s choice paper litter but he can be transitioned to whatever brand you prefer.
He is currently located in the Penrith area and ready to meet his new family
