About Dusty š¶
Itās my turn to melt some hearts ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
I may be slightly overweight (but trust me, my foster mum is working on that), and I may be looking for a home to live out my āseniorā yearsā¦..but I am such a lovable, loyal and handsome boy who wants nothing more than to be your constant companion š„°
My name is Dustyā¦.and Iām a 10yr old Border Collie who would prefer to be your one and only at home. I love the quiet, easy going lifestyle and prefer the laid back life in the country, rather than the noise and fast paced lifestyle of the city. Sirens, fireworks and noisy environments just gives me anxiety, which in turn, will give you anxietyā¦.
I have great recall and respond well to my name. If you ask me to sit, I will do so (especially if treats are involved š). I do still enjoy my walks, and not really phased by other dogs walking by, but cats may get my attentionā¦.
Every so often (generally in Winter), my legs get a little achy, due to what they call āosteoarthritisā, but with some weekly injections (over 4 weeks) as we get closer to the cooler months, my legs feel great again! Unfortunately, this will be something my new family will need to add to the budget each year, because I definitely need it (I promise it wonāt break the bank).
Not sure if these pictures capture my cheekiness, but whilst I can charm the pants off anyone with my smile, I need to mention my obsession with food š Leaving me indoors while you just race out to do some errands is probably not the best ideaā¦.There is nothing wrong with my sense of smell, and your kitchen soon becomes my kitchen lol. Food is most certainly my focus and I will find it! No oneās perfect though, right?
Iāve spent quite a lot of time with my foster family this year and I truly love themā¦even the kids. They are my worldā¦but, as much as they love me back, itās not my forever home and they would love to see me living my best life, in a place where I feel comfortable š„°
I would be great for an older couple or person who are also in their retirement years and looking for a companionā¦.on property would be nice š or maybe you work from home and wanting some company while you workā¦..On property would be nice š just please donāt expect me to work cattle or sheepā¦.Iām RETIRED š
Fencing is a mustā¦.I need to be kept safe, and although Iām in my senior years, there is life in these legs! Iād be struggling to get over anything above 5ft, but as long as Iām in my happy place, Iāll be by your side ā¤ļø
Iāve been given the tick of approval at my vet check this week āļø so now all I need is a family. If youāre keen to meet me (and maybe bring me some treats), send through an enquiry that will capture their attention š Youāll find me at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
