About Salty
There's one larrikin in every litter and in the Summer Litter (six adorable, large-breed puppies born on 18 September 2021) it's Salty.
A good-hearted, affectionate and outgoing youngster, Salty is always the first pup to step forward and seek attention. He loves being around his humans and his waggy tail works overtime when he meets new people.
Dad is a Mastiff x Ridgeback and Mum is a Shar Pei x Red Cattle Dog. No surprise, then, that Salty is a big hunk of love, weighing 19.9 kgs as at 30 December.
But the downside of Salty's loving nature is that he wanted to kiss the photographer and when that didn't happen, he looked elsewhere - anywhere but at the camera. Very frustrating because he's such a handsome dude and the photos don't do him justice!
Salty is very dog-friendly and loves his 8 yo human foster sister and her family. He is untested with cats, but is certainly young enough to learn good cat manners. He would make a delightful canine companion for an individual or a family.
His adoption fee is $550 and he was desexed, microchipped and vaccinated on 30 December 2021.
If you'd like to meet him, we'd love to hear from you. The first step in our adoption process is to complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/
Preference will be given to applicants who have large breed experience and can offer Salty the training, socialisation and care he needs to reach his full potential. He is not suited to full-time workers. As always, secure fencing is essential.
