About Buzz Lightyear ~ Staffy X Puppy(On Trial 15/1/22)
Meet Buzz Lightyear!
Bouncy little Buzz is a 7wk old Staffy X puppy who wants to love you to infinity and beyond! He will grow to be at least a medium sized dog. Please note that as Buzz is not yet desexed, he is NOT available for out of area adoption and is looking for a home in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley or the Central Coast.
Buzzy Boy is super affectionate and trots around behind you all day. He is adventurous and confident with new people and dogs. When fully grown he will be a wonderful companion out and about with his forever family and needs to be welcome inside the house with his people. Buzz has spent some time with a cat and is interested but tries to engage in energetic puppy play with her so this will need to be taken into account.
Buzz was taken from his mother at a very young age and although he has been well cared for and is healthy and loved, he still needs reassurance from his family. He would love an older, playful but patient dog to help continue his education. He doesn't like to be left alone so needs family members who are around more often than not so that he can continue to build his confidence.
Like any puppy of his age, Buzz is very bitey and with his sharp little teeth he would be best without small children as he unintentionally hurts when he bites. He is learning to redirect his bites to his toys but this is a work in progress and ongoing training, patience and understanding is needed in this area. Buzz is very food motivated and is responding well to early training. He loves tug and chew toys and is learning to chase a ball. Toilet training is going very well but at his age is a work in progress and needs consistency and time to consolidate what he already knows.
Having a puppy of this age means that you need to have time to invest in his early life. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Buzz is currently in foster care in Maitland NSW. His adoption fee is $700 and he will come vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. If you have any questions about Buzz please email his foster carer at s-j.hazell@bigpond.com. To apply to adopt Buzz, please complete the application here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. Please note that Buzz will not be available to move in to his new home until the 15th January.
