About Atticus & Finch - Foster Carer Needed
Atticus (4yo) and Finch (18 months) might look very alike, but they are actually brothers from another mother :-)
Atticus is a Kelpie-Maremma mix, and Finch is... anyone's guess! Lab-mix-Ridgeback-Shar pei, maybe?
Regardless, these are two affectionate, playful and entertaining fellows who adore their humans and just want to be loved.
Atticus is great with all humans, big and small, and other dogs. Finch, on the other hand, needs slow introductions to new people as he finds them a bit scary - men in particular. He has a very sweet tendency to carry around a toy or a rug for comfort when he's feeling nervous. But once he knows you won't hurt him, he'll shower you with kisses!
Finch is also not keen on other dogs - only having eyes for his big brother! - and needs more socialisation and training in this regard.
To accommodate Finch's special needs, they both need an experienced and patient foster or forever home.
They adore riding in the car, and are the BEST HOUSE-TRAINED DOGS we've ever met - they will hold on for 12 hours or more if they must!
As both dogs believe in protecting their property from passers by, they can be barkers, so a quiet location for their future home is required, where they can't see the comings and goings out front - better still, a rural property with good fencing.
Atticus and Finch look forward to meeting you!
Medical notes
Finch has recently commenced anti-anxiety medication.
