About Bailey
Bailey is a 6mth old borzoi x husky that has recently been rescue from a hoarding situation. He is now looking for his forever home that will understand where he comes from and will help him learn new things and overcome problems arising from his previous life.
This boy loves other dogs and is ok around dog friendly cats. He is playful and cheeky and extremely intelligent. With access to backyard he house trained himself within 2 days and is now learning how to open the dog food bin (by lifting the lid with his nose) when he is hungry! Due to previously having limited access to food he is possessive but it learning to eat around other dogs with human supervision. He is quite underweight and will need good quality nutrition to catch up on his physical development.
As he has only ever known life surrounded by over 100 other dogs Bailey does suffer from separation anxiety. He will bark and howl when left alone. He is however ok if he has another dog for company so his new home needs to have an existing doggy companion. Bailey hasn’t been exposed to things that we take for granted and at this point his reaction to new things is barking. He will need an owner that will dedicate time to work with him on this behaviour otherwise the barking will become an issue later in life. And no one wants complaints from neighbours!!!!
Bailey’s adoption fee is $600 and includes microchipping, vaccination, flea and worming treatment, desexing and lifetime registration.
Bailey is located in East Maitland, Hunter Valley.
Adoption requirements apply - pls supply photos of your secure fully fenced yard, your dogs current vaccination certificate and either rental permission to have animals or proof you own your home. Expressions of interest to be submitted via email to ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the foster carers home or at a convenient location.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
