Hi I’m Rockford and I’m a young lad from the country so all of the hustle and bustle of city life is new and loud, but I'm slowly getting used to it. I’m a quick learner though and now I walk nicely on a loose lead with a halti, I’ve been out for runs with my foster Dad and I’ve even been to the pub!
I have already learnt to sit, wait for my food for 15 seconds and I’ve learnt ‘out’ means to stay out of the kitchen. I’m still a puppy though with cheeky puppy energy so if left unsupervised in the house cushions, trainers and remotes may go missing.
My safe space is my crate in the living room, and I sleep there every night without making a single noise. I’m toilet trained too.
I split my time between lying outside in the sun, sleeping in my crate, or following my humans around.
I adore head massages and tummy rubs and my tail is like a windscreen wiper. I’m super affectionate and gentle and will place my paw on you when I want attention – which is most of the time. I love being groomed too. I’m just a big softy.
After dinner I LOVE playing tug of war and pretending to chase my humans in the garden - my favourite thing is when I let them catch me I roll over for a tummy rub.
I’m well behaved and love meeting other dogs especially ones the same size as me and I don’t even mind smaller yappy dogs. I haven’t been off lead yet but I’m pretty sure I will love it.
I’m currently 21.5kg and I’m trying to put on another couple of kilos. I love my frozen lick mat, peanut butter and chasing my Rogz ball around so you can leave me for a few hours outside on my own. I don’t have separation anxiety.
I’d love some proper puppy training and maybe even agility classes – I think I’d be excellent at that. I’d be happy with older children in the house who would play with me and take me for walks and an older patient dog who doesn’t mind a young pup would be fun too.
As long as I am exercised, fed and adored, I’ll be a good boy.
My foster parents are super impressed with me and tell me all the time whoever adopts me is going to be very lucky indeed.
Not tested with cats and chickens.
******************* He's a 16 month old Staffie/Kelpie, 21 kg amazing dog. Great with children, plays nicely with dogs of all shapes and sizes, crate trained, toilet trained. Children would have to be 8 yrs + and he could live with another dog.
He does need 45 mins exercise morning and evening. He is walking and running on a loose lead. He doesn't bark or bite. He waits for his food, he sits on command. He doesn't have separation anxiety.
He's perfect!
