About Asia
*******************************************
PLEASE NOTE: adopting within the
local Newcastle, Hunter and surrounding areas
**************************************************
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Asia is a sweet, affectionate young girl that is looking for love. She can be wary to start with, but with gentle cajoling she learns to trust and is then turns into a purring, love machine. Asia has had her first vaccination, is now microchipped, desexed, flea and worm treated, with only her second vaccination due at the end of January - a voucher will be provided to the new owner to redeem at a Hunter Animal Rescue affiliated vet (see website for your closest one).
My Ideal Home:
Asia is looking for a family that can commit to a lifetime of love and care. As with all of our cats, she is rehomed as 100% indoor only, not only for her safety but for that of our native wildlife. She tends to hide until she feels safe and then it's game on - smooches and snuggles galore!
What is Known About My Background:
Asia came into care from a local pound where she was found as a stray which no one claimed. Nothing else is known of her start in life.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Asia appears to be fussy with her kitty friends, so a very slow, gentle introduction will be needed if she's rehomed with another cat. Ideally she would be an only kitty so she can receive all your love and attention. She hasn't been tested with dogs, however as long as the dog is quiet and cat friendly, doesn't chase her or use her as a chew toy she may be ok, again with slow, gentle introductions. Asia would be best suited to a home with older children who treat her gently and with respect as loud noises and quick movements startle her.
