Frank would be ideally suited as a one dog in the family, with teenage kids and someone that will be home most of the time.
A retired energetic couple is also and excellent choice as he is a loyal and loving little boy. He likes to spend time in the yard sitting in the sun and wandering around the garden, but is also happy to be inside snuggled up on the couch. He shares his snuggling time equally with all family members.
Because of his earlier life it took Frank time to understand his position in the family. He initially showed signs of aggression until he accepted the family hierarchy and came to realise that he is an accepted member of a loving group. Frank’s new family will need to be patient and reinforce this message.
Frank loves company and prefers not to be left at home alone but behaves himself when he is.
He travels well in the car and gets quite animated when he thinks he is going for a drive. He usually curls up and sleeps for most of the journey.
He is happy to sleep through the night in his crate.
He is toilet trained and if the door is closed he will whine to be let out.
Frank walks very well with harness and lead and is quite energetic. He generally ignores other walkers and dogs.
He has spent limited time with young children and caution is advised until he has been introduced and has spent time getting used to them.
Frank is currently being fostered and enjoys sleeping in bed with his 17 yr old foster son.
He eats well and enjoys a variety of foods including beef mince, roast chicken and dry food and he is well mannered.
Ramp training is ongoing and is encouraged.
Frank is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated INC Pro-heart annual injection, Bravecto and wormed and is fully vet checked as is our policy.
