Meet Poppy (Popsicle) our female Greyhound aged 2 and half years old.
What can we say about Poppy?
Poppy has one of the most gentle temperaments we have ever come across. She is adored by her foster family.
Poppy loved spending time with Evelyne an older former foster greyhound, they were inseparable and loved running around together. Poppy also gets on well with other smaller/med dogs and currently lives with a Shmoodle and a Maltese/ JRT. Poppy has a beautiful Temprement, making her a perfect candidate for her green collar.
Poppy is wonderful to walk, she loves going to the local coffee shop and around her local community where she meets lots of other greys.
Poppy did have sensitive skin when she first arrived in to care and she was receiving 2 weekly Malaseb shampoos to eliminate a flea allergy. Flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) is the leading cause of allergic reactions in dogs. The body's immune system overreacts or is hypersensitive to a substance (called an antigen) Poppy had quite a lot of this in her coat and on her skin when she first arrived. Oatmeal shampoos are best for her skin and her carer has been using Alloveen shampoo. Her skin is much better now.
Poppy is a ray of sunshine, happy, loyal and loving. She would be happiest with another friendly dog or another greyhound/greyhounds.
She loves to snooze with her foster family and fur friends, during movie nights or relaxing quiet evenings in. She really is the best!
Medical notes
Poppy has sensitive skin. Oatmeal shampoos are suggested.
