About Poppie DL2758
Poppie is a beautiful senior lady looking for a relaxing retirement home.
Poppie suits a quiet home where she can spend her days napping indoors in comfort. She's scared of other dogs/cats and much prefers to be your one and only. As she's hard of hearing and possibly losing sight as well, she doesn't like being picked up and can startle easily, so is not suited to a place with young kids.
Poppie is looking for a warm comfortable home with a regular routine, she loves her food and is always ready for her meal times. She enjoys short walks each day, 10 to 15 min is perfect. She will occasionally play with a ball or toy, just for a few minutes. She doesn't like pats on the head, but she does enjoy chest rubs!
Poppie would like someone who is home more often, especially while she is settling in. She isn't a huge fan of being left home alone; she is always very excited to see you come home and she won't leave your side. She sleeps through the night on her bed in the bedroom. She is a quiet girl and not a nuisance barker.
Poppie is a Forever Foster dog. As her Forever Foster carer, you will need to take her to vet appointments and care for her needs, while DFL covers any necessary medical costs.
If you have the perfect home for a precious princess like Poppie, email DFL today to apply.
Medical notes
Poppie's new family must keep up with regular grooming, every 8 to 12 weeks.
There is also a lump on one eye that doesn’t bother her. She is hard of hearing (hears a loud clap of the hands, but doesn't hear her name being called), and her vision seems to be declining.
Poppie has arthritis and muscle degeneration in her back legs. She walks wonky and sits funny, and her legs sometimes give way, but she gets up again on her own.
