Please meet Hugo.

This sweet boy is a timid kitten who needs someone experienced enough to help him feel a bit better with handling and new people.

Hugo hasn't had a lot of pats and cuddles in his life, so now he's a little bit worried when people try to pick him up or touch him without his consent. Hugo is very young and will be able to learn that pats and cuddles are a good thing with someone patient and understanding.

Hugo could also go and live with a friendly and sociable adult cat who he can bond with a show him the ropes. The cat would need to be confident and not shy so that Hugo would learn to be confident too.

Using toys, treats and pairing pats with these rewards will get Hugo back on track to be the resilient, confident boy we know he can be.

This baby is located at our Craigieburn Shelter in Craigieburn.

Always best to email us an enquiry (via this pets profile- see the below link). Please include a description of the home you will be able to provide like where the pet will be kept most of the day, what other animals are at the home, ages of children that live or frequently visit the home and any details of previous experience that you have had with this species or breed. The more details the faster we can speed up the process for a meet and greet with you. Be sure to ask any questions you may also have.
