About Wolfi
Gday people
I’d like to introduce Wolfe. This boy is a strikingly handsome big bundle of energy.
A wolfhound x at 26 kilos so not a big boy
Wolfe, being a young strapping lad is looking for a new forever home with an active family.
Wolfe is a very happy fellow with lots of love to give. Being young he is still a big bouncy puppy so someone with previous large dog experience is required.
Wolfe will welcome you every morning with lots of tail wags and boundless energy, being a pup he is still quite excitable so will need a home with patience and consistency to turn him into a well mannered adult
Personality
Wolfe is a happy dude who likes humans and other dogs. He loves a cuddle and will attempt to sit on your lap if he can. Loves a good belly scratch and pat.
Wolfe's favorite thing is water. He loves his outdoor dog pool to splash around in and will splash and scratch frantically in the pool to splash out all the water. He enjoys a swim and the local park so a beach life or regular access to water would suit this boy to a T.
Obedience
Wolfe has had minimal training so we are working on basic commands like sit, no, down. He will need someone who is willing to persist with training. This boy will make a fantastic companion in the right hands as he does want to please.
Enrichment and socialization
Wolfe is a social boy and loves to join in the fun at the park playing a bit of chase. He enjoys a game of rough and tumble. He is currently living with three other dogs and gets along well with all the different personality types. He does enjoy the company of a younger dog as they both enjoy playing so he would love a home with another female to keep him entertained.
He enjoys his daily walks and sniffing the surrounds and reading the daily news. He is fairly good on lead and has has some short periods off lead with other dogs present. He does not know his name so recall is currently not the best off lead yet at wide open spaces. He has been keep off lead at an enclosed oval.
Diet
Wolfe is a healthy weight, being fed high quality puppy food twice a day as he is still a growing boy so it’s important to continue this for his health and bone development. He enjoys treats such as cow hooves, back straps and of course smackos.
Wolfe does have the odd accident inside just wee but otherwise is house trained. Just needs to be let out late and early mornings to do his business.
Sleep
Wolfe sleeps well inside and outside and has also had time sleeping in a create. He settles well and sleeps through the night.
Alone time
Being a social pup he does love company but is getting use to being outside when his foster carer works. He can cry and whine for a period of time but does settle and will find a nice warm spot to have a snooze. He enjoys interactive treats like a peanut butter kong or other hide a treat toys. He can get up to mischief outside like any young pup so a yard with minimal outdoor temptations would work best. He loves his doggy pool and soft toys to keep entertained.
Ideal home
Kids over the age of 15 due to his size and bouncy puppy-ness
A large female dog who is submissive but playful
A ho e who has a large yard that isn't ready for beautiful home and garden as Wolfi is a pup and can be a bit mischievous
A home near the water is a big plus as this boy is a water baby.
Someone who has big dog experience and willing to train this gorgeous boy to be a polite well mannered dude
