About Rupert (on trial 15/01/22)
Introducing Rupert, an energetic and squeaky little tiger who wants to be everybody's friend.
Rupert is a well traveled young kitty that's come to us all the way from a pound in Moree. But Rupert has decided that life on the road is not for him, and he'd like to settle down with a nice family in Newcastle.
Although he's almost 1, Rupert has lots of kitten energy. He loves scaling walls, jumping on top of cupboards, zooming around as fast as he can and training for the Olympics (high jump and 100m sprint, obviously).
His forever family will need to help him burn energy with lots of toys and play, and be vigilant in keeping windows and doors shut.
When he's not playing, Rupert loves nothing more than snuggling with his human and purring. He feels most content when he can smush his face up against yours and fall asleep on your chest.
Rupert is a beautiful and affectionate cat, however, when there is lots of noise and movement he feels threatened and sometimes bites. We have been teaching him not to do this and his new family will need to continue to help him learn he doesn't need to be afraid anymore. Because of this, Rupert is suited to a quiet family with older children or no children.
Rupert is friendly with his foster cat sibling and always uses his kitty litter. He also eats all of his food and never fussy.
Rupert is in foster care in Warabrook. His adoption fee is $200, which includes desexing, microchip, first vaccination, worm and flea treatment.
