About Sooty
I am called Sooty a strange name for a young red stumpy tailed australian Cattle Dog. I think I have a lovely nature and I want someone to play with. I came to HPH recently because my owners had to move into town for work and I had too much time on my paws. So I decided to escape which was easy because the fences weren't high enough. I just wanted more time than my owners had to offer so they reckoned the best thing was to come to HPH. Well here I have made some friends I get on with other dogs and I love it when my carers play ball with me. I can be a bit shy initially but I'm getting used to being here and enjoy a cuddle and a pat. So if you have the time for me I might just be the best dog for you
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
