Marilyn 🥰

Marilyn is such an adorable and clingy cat. Once she trusts you, there’s no leaving her alone. She has the sweetest and softest meow and mrreows that’ll melt your heart and hypnotise you to pet and play with her. A lack of toys wouldn’t discourage Marilyn from being playful, as her current favourite toy is a single plastic straw. She also understands few commands such as “no”, and might learn more if trained. She knows to use the litterbox.

Most of the time, she will follow you wherever you go (even to the bathroom!) and stick to your legs while chirping every now and then. She loves getting scratches and climbing on you to get them. She also loves to remind you of breakfast time by sitting on your chest when you’re still sleeping. But this provides ample opportunity for you to bond by cuddling and scratching her wile Marilyn is laying down on you. Once she is comfortable, she will sleep alongside you on the bed at night. She will tolerate being picked-up like a baby and being pet while picked-up. She will have the occasional zoomies, sometimes during the night.

She would be perfect for a home with ample spaces, as she loves exploring and is an inquisitive cat. She is very friendly, and if you love and take good care of her, she will return the affection in no time at all. Marilyn is good with people, as she does not get scared easily, and is curious on how these people can also pet and scratch her. She might get along with another animal such as a cat or dog as long as they are calm and affectionate.

She likes drinking water from a bowl, and she prefers wet food compared to dry. However she is not hugely motivated by cat treats in tubes. She will need to get used to or be told what is allowed in your home, as she is very headstrong. Nothing will stop her from getting what she wants, and that usually is pets and head scratches. This usually means that she will jump on your desk or computer keyboard, and while adorable, can disrupt working/studying and eating activities. This can easily by discouraged by just saying “no”. She will need daily brushing as her fur is relatively thick and long and will shed everywhere without regular care.
