Petey

Please meet PETEY, a classic tricolour kelpie mix puppy with gorgeous white socks on his front feet. He was born on 10 July 2021.

Like all kelpies, Petey is a sweet-natured, clever and very trainable youngster and would make a delightful companion or family pet. He is very dog friendly but untested with cats.

Kelpies have an exceptionally high IQ and may get into mischief if left to their own devices. They require plenty of exercise, and will become bored if stuck in a backyard for lengthy periods without stimulation or company.

The secret to bringing the best out in a kelpie mix is to keep him occupied and well loved.
A kelpie's greatest joy is the love and attention of an active owner or family, while his greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.

Kelpies are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that's where they'll be too - whether that's out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.

To be happy and content, Petey will need plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. Secure fencing is a must. He is best-suited to a home where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog to play with.

Petey's adoption fee is $550 and he was desexed on 14 December. He has had two C3 vaccinations and is microchipped.
