Benedict is an absolute gentleman.

His passions in life include sleeping, belly rubs and his daily walks.

Benedict likes all the attention on him so he would be best suited to an only dog home. He is friendly with other dogs on walks but likes to be the centre of attention at home so can be selective.

Benedict would be best suited to someone who is working from home or retired but active. He is happy as long as he knows where you are and is happy to sleep most of the day if he has had his morning walk.

Benedict will improve with some training but currently has separation anxiety. He likes to check on you to make sure you're still home.

He is not currently medicated but the right home will have to decide how they would like to manage his separation anxiety. In the short time he has been in foster care he has improved with training but will need some help and time adjusting to his new home.
He responds well to basic commands.

Benedict still needs to learn some manners when on the lead but easily managed.
Benedict can be protective. He is not aggressive but will bark at some strangers if feeling anxious. Due to this he would not be suitable for any children under 5. Any children under 12 will have to be dog savvy as his initial barking can scare them off at times.

If you are patient and have room for a loving/cuddly man in your life Benedict is the boy for you.
