About Billie
Billie is a gorgeous 3-month-old Rottweiler x Kelpie.
She is a big cutie who loves snuggling up next to you on the couch just as much as she loves exploring the garden, hunting for sticks. She is exceptionally loyal and will act as your shadow, patiently waiting for a play or a treat.
She is super smart, easy to train and loves learning new commands. She is very treat- (and peanut butter-) motivated, so once you have something tasty in your hand, she's all ears.
She loves to play fetch. Her favourite part is when you play 'tug of war' with her - she hasn't quite worked out the words 'drop it' yet, but the enthusiasm is there.
She is toilet trained (with only one accident on record) and sleeps through the night on her own. She can walk on the lead with a collar or harness, but currently needs a bit of coaxing and positive reinforcement (i.e., treats) as she's still getting used to it.
She does have a lot of energy that she needs to run off in between naps, and she gets spells of the zoomies, so she would be well suited to a big yard, a lot of physical activity and maybe another high energy dog to keep up and play with her. When she does settle for a nap, she can't help but stick her tongue out while she sleeps.
As with any puppy her age, she is quite mischievous and likes to look for new things to chew, so initial supervision and hiding away all wires is necessary until she's settled.
Her new ideal home will:
- a home that will be committed to training and socialising this pup (puppy school and ongoing obedience training will be essential)
- one with LOTS of love and cuddles to give!!!
Billie's adoption fee includes all of her medical work (she has been desexed, had her first vaccination, microchipped, flea and worm treated), a 12kg bag of premium large breed puppy food and a spot in our 5 week puppy school course at the SCAR shelter.
She is ready to go into her new home today... so don't hesitate to apply as we are sure that this gorgeous girl will not be around for long!!

**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption centre in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them.
Thank you!
