Alright let’s talk about the elephant in the room, or in this case, that species name that I find hard to spit out…canines. Urghhhh. Why they were put on this green earth I will never know. Just to annoy us superior beings? Because that’s all they do to me. So I get stressed and scared and anxious and, well, it’s just not a relationship I’m into. There I’ve said it. Dogs are a big no no in my world! But without those… creatures around, I’m all yours. Isn’t that a much better option for the both of us?

Without making it all about me, let’s talk about me for a bit. My tabby good looks are only just the beginning. Really, I’m just a smoochy-woochy boy at heart, and love a good cuddle and snooze in the sun. Snuggling on your lap and curling up on your bed are also high on my favourite things to do. But my ultimate favourite thing to do is EAT!!!! Fooooooooooood, isn’t it the best? I mean c’mon what’s not to love about tasty morsels of deliciousness that you put in your mouth and savour with every bite? I love it all! You could call me a gourmand, but just between you and me, I’ll eat anything! Not fussy at all. Just bring it to me and I will devour it. I’m salivating just thinking about all that food out there waiting for me to eat!

I will never understand what that noisy, mechanical thing is that gets run around the house once a week, sucking up dust and dirt off the floor. It’s a loud, nasty, horrible monster that’s out to get me and I will run away and hide from it, until it’s finished its dirty work. Also, please don’t rub me on the belly – I’m not a genie and won’t be able to grant you any wishes. Having said that, I will always be here to give you as much love as you give me. I feel that we would have a good relationship you and me. I would love to be your new best friend! (And not to rush things but can you please get me outta here? We are run by volunteers. We are online between 10am and 6pm daily and try to respond within 24 hours. If you want us to follow up, you can text the Cat Phone on 0415-241-211.
To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
