About Barb
Hi, my name is Barb and I’m a spritely 10 years young lady.
I love nothing more than wrapping myself up in a blanket beside you on the couch.
My previous owners left without me, and I had to spend a couple of years locked up in a concrete pen. I think that’s why I love my comfort and cuddles even more now! It’s also a reason why I don’t like being left alone by myself. I love to come with you on drives while you do your errands and I’m also working on being able to be left alone for short periods of time.
My foster parents are so happy with how well I’m doing.
They work from home, so I like to nap beside them while they are working and I’ll make sure to give them a nudge when it’s time for them to have a break and come play with me.
I love chasing after my favourite soft teddy and my soft balls. My teeth aren’t what they used to be so I need to be gentle when I play but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying myself. If I’m not playing then you can find me sleeping near you in a sun spot or you’ll hear me rolling on my back making silly noises.
With my arthritis from my hard past life I can’t go for long walks. I like to keep them short but I love taking my time and sniffing everything. I also love adventures to new places when we hop in the car, even if it’s only to the local shops. Home with you will always be my favourite place though.
Hopefully my new home will have loads of blankets for me to make a little fort or two. Come 6 o’clock I’m ready to be tucked up between my foster parents in front of the TV for the night.
My foster parents say I’m a simple lady as long as you don’t mind your blankets being stolen. If you think you will play with me, give me belly rubs and share your blanket; I promise I’ll be your best friend and we’ll have so much fun together.
