About Max
Max is a stunning young boy who is lithe and athletic. He appears at first glance to be all black but if you look very closely you might notice a very tiny spot of white fur on his chest.
Max is very friendly, affectionate and playful but he isn’t coping well with the environment at SAFE and because there are many other cats around it’s hard for us to identify exactly what he is finding difficult. Max needs a new owner who can use their past experience in cat behaviour to get to know him. He may never be a cuddly lap cat & it will be important to spend time identifying his likes, dislikes and triggers. In addition if you have expertise in reading the body language of cats this will help you to live happily together. Max loves to talk and it’s best if he is the only pet in a home without young children.
Max is a bit of a catch 22, although he asks for affection and rubs around your legs even one stroke can be too much for him at times. The key to living with him is to step back, observe, provide enrichment and play with him often using wand toys to expend his energy. We can provide more information if you think you can be his special person. We love Max and he deserves to have some space and time to relax in a home where he is understood.
If the statements below describe you & your home, please call 0404 753 227.
