About Beauty Boy Beau ♥♥♥
Hi I'm Beau ♥
The Shelter girls call me Beauty Boy Beau 😉
Beau is a Great Dane cross who is turning 8 years young this month! 🥳
Beau is currently lapping up all of the TLC at the Community Animal Shelter, but his birthday wish is to have a forever family of his own.
Beau’s favourite things include
🐶 Human company
🐶 Snacks
🐶 Cuddles
🐶 Tennis balls
🐶 Being the only fur baby of the house
🐶 Lounging in the sun (with sunscreen on his pink nose of course 😉)
Beau loves a walk and needs to be walked daily, however he’s not super active but very much enjoys a short walk each day. Due to him being a non fan of dogs this is best done away from others dogs. Beau is great around kids and would really suit an adoring family environment. If you are looking for a furman that will become a best friend, well then look no further.
Beau is loyal 💪
Loving💕 and
Laid- back 🤙
He has not been temp tested with cats but has been tested with dogs and he does not like other dogs at all so we are seeking him as an only pet home.
Beau currently eats leaps and bounds grain free dog food and loves it.
Beau is not destructive at all, he doesn’t dig, jump fences, or chew furniture.
He has impeccable toileting habits and is fully house trained.
He doesn’t have any interest in toys but does love to follow Shelter staff around assisting them with all their daily duties.
Beau enjoys to sleep in a cosy place during the day and then enjoys family time and interaction.
As you can see Beau's best visual feature is his smile 😊
He literally lightens up all the Shelter staff's day in an instant with his big pearl whites.
The only way to apply for Beau will be via Pet Rescue or emailing casgroup@mornpen.vic.gov.au for an adoption form, please ensure you read the front page and tick before sending back to us. Thank you.

Adoption details
1. Dogs that are found lost and or wandering are impounded at the Pound/ Shelter
2. The shelter team will exhaust every available avenue in attempts to locate animal owners, including but not limited to:
o scanning for microchips and posting on the lost page of the Shire’s website.
o letters are sent to identified owners
o rangers attend properties where owners cannot be contacted.
o we network with the Lost Dogs Home, RSPCA and other council organisations to search their records for identified animals.
2. All the dogs in our care are fed high quality nutritious food, provided enrichment, receive a nice clean pen each day and our tireless staff use every opportunity to spend time with the dogs to help them to connect and regain trust.
3. After the eight business day holding period and there has been no success at finding the owner or the owner has abandoned or surrendered the dog, the animal will then go on to our next step in the re-homing process.
4. The dogs go to the vet for desexing, vaccination and general health checks
5. Our caring and dedicated staff walk the dogs, provide training and socialisation. The dogs experience different environments and adventures. They are properly trained to walk on a leash with head control, they are exposed to traffic, pedestrians, loud noises and general daily life experiences. Some dogs need lots of work and training. Our team are highly experienced, qualified and are up to the challenge of assessing and preparing the animals for rescue and adoption.
6. All applicants go through a screening process to ensure our dogs go to the right forever home.
7. All adoptive owners are educated on responsible pet ownership, keeping your dog contained, registering your dog and walking your dog on lead.
