About Dulcie
These sensational ears belong to 7 month-old Dulcie, a sweet-tempered and affectionate tricolour Kelpie pup with a dollop of Fox Terrier in her genetic make-up. She was born on or around 10 May 2021 and is a petite girl, weighing just 11.9 kgs.
Like all kelpies, Dulcie is super sweet, highly intelligent, mild-mannered and very trainable. With minimal training, she learnt to walk well on a lead and now doesn't pull at all.
She is not noise-sensitive and is unbothered by storms, traffic or construction noise. She sounds the bark alarm only when appropriate e.g., when someone comes to the door.
Dulcie is completely house-trained and sleeps well at night. She knows how to sit on command and immediately responds to the "no" command if she shows signs of doing something she's not supposed to do.
Although a little shy when she first came into care, Dulcie has gained confidence to the point that she is happy to approach strangers when invited to do so and always does so with a smile and a wag of the tail.
Dulcie loves human company and is very dog-friendly. She is untested with cats.
To be happy and content, Dulcie will need plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation and play. Secure fencing is a must. She is accustomed to having access to the home and is very definitely an inside-outside dog.
If you are interested in meeting her, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Dulcie's adoption fee is $750 and she was desexed, vaccinated and microchipped in December 2021.
