Truffle

Truffle This special lpup is seeking a special homeHe is a mix of Border Collie x Rotty x German Shepherd x Staffy  but seems will only grow to  amed size from what we can guess Truffle has had a bit of trauma as a young pup so he has a few trust issues until he gets to warm up to you so please do not apply if you are not prepared to give him a bit of patience while he warms to you When you first meet him he can be quite standoffish and a bit barky but after some short time he gains your trust and then he is absolutely your loyal pal for life 
Truffle absolutely gets his confidence from other dogs and is currently in a foster home with 5 others of all sizes.more playful girls so We see him absolutely shine with the younger females and his confidence shines through so for this reason we are seeking a home with a med size female playful but patient girl to help him develop to his full potential.  Truffle is a cute and cheeky young boy. He is gentle and full of life. He is a medium sized dog who loves showing how much he cares and follows you wherever you go. As he is a young boy he can get a little mouthy at times. He has a beautiful coat with  a  mixture of white and brown fur which matches perfectly with his name, and it’s so silky and smooth, We have not noticed any shedding either which is a bonus. One of his absolute favorite things is a good pat and belly rub. When first meeting Truffle he can be quite aloof and give you a bit of a growl and bark and take  a while to warm up to you as he seems to not have a lot of trust in people (this is something you will need to work on ) but once he has overcome his fear he is a really sweet loving boy. One thing we have noticed is that when he is in the Presence of another dog he is a lot more confident with people.
OBEDIENCEWhen outdoors, he likes to chew his toys and keep himself busy. He sits nicely for treats, half the time you do not even have to say ‘Sit’ because he is already doing it in anticipation. He loves running in the yard and going for walks to use up all his energy! From what we have seen, at times he does not respond to his name, however we found different ways to get his attention such as saying “Come with me” in a high pitch voice. 
ENRICHMENTTruffle has great energy, He will need stimulation when alone for long periods, such as going for nice walks. If left for too long, he can get bored and create his own entertainment by pulling things around the yard or chewing items he finds. He will need enrichment as if he is bored he can get into mischief as he is still quite young and loves chewing his toys. We found that walks, bones and toys often do the trick! He loves chasing around the rope and loves a good challenge when playing.
IDEAL HOME:We feel Truffle would thrive in a home within a household that is very inclusive and has time to train Truffle to be the best dog he could be. Truffle would probably prefer to be an inside dog with easy outside access, giving him the freedom to go about his day as he sees fit. Truffle would not do well in a home with young children. He will also be very happy with another dog to keep him company. His family will need to invest time in him to ensure he has daily enrichment because he is both intelligent and cheeky. He will need space as he loves to run so a decent yard is required. Truffle is a beautiful companion who will make his future owners very happy!We are seeking a home with no small children
