Meet Ludi, a tall handsome boy who is gentle by nature and just adores people.
He is a Staghound, German Shepard cross with big brown eyes and short but soft fluffy coat that will require some grooming. He is house trained, walks well on the lead and will need daily exercise to remain the well behaved boy he is today.
Ludi’s time with us has seen him -due to work commitments-spend more time than we would like inside, at home alone. Fortunately Ludi has exceptional manners and treated our home well, he had access to the garden and we had not one “accident” along with no sign of any destructive behaviours. When we return home Ludi can become quite animated but settles quite quickly. He seems to like his toys but doesn’t seem too interested in fetching. He is quite food obsessed (he is a dog after all) and given his height can be tempted by food left on benches. They are right at nose and mouth height for Ludi.
He does like to ‘help’ in the kitchen so needs to be given boundaries where food is concerned. Ludi has not shown aggression towards other furry dog friends although his contact has been quite limited. Being part Staghound Ludi may see small animals as prey as they are a hunting breed. Ludi has not been tested for cat compatibility and would probably do better in a cat free home.
He loves to play with other dogs and is full of energy, so if you have a resident dog they will need to be playful and full of beans to match his boisterous play style.
He knows to go to his bed when he told to and sit then wait for his food. He is a big gentle boy who loves a cuddle and will snuggle on the couch if invited or sleep happily on his bed if preferred. Due to his size Ludi would be a better fit for families with older kids he won’t accidentally knock over when he’s excited. Ludi will be a great addition to a family who will love and care for him. He’ll return the love and charm everyone he meets.
