About Banjo ~ 3mo Red Cattle X Puppy(on trial 28/12/21)
Meet Banjo, a 12 week old red cattle x puppy. Banjo is a beautiful boy that came to DRN with his brother.
He has won his way into our hearts with his gentle personality and quirky nature. Even his cranky foster sister Bella gives him kisses.
Banjo needs to gain more confidence in the big world but every day he is becoming more adventurous and loves running around exploring his yard and playing fetch which he has learnt very quickly and most times will bring the ball back.
He is well mannered for a puppy and has learnt to sit and not jump on people. He has a gentle demeanor around his foster carer’s 10 mth old grandson and waits patiently for morsels to drop from the high chair.
He is well socialised with other dogs including his foster sister and family dogs.
He doesn’t show much interest in the foster carer’s cat other than wanting to finish her food.
Banjo needs to grow into his gangly long legs and will be an active dog as he is a working breed. He would love another furry sibling to play with, or his human family to be home for company. Banjo will need to go to a home that has working breed experience.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Banjo needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. He will be a wonderful family dog. He will need good fencing with no small gaps. NO Rural fencing will not be considered.
For more information on Banjo, please contact his foster carer, Wendy at wendygermon@yahoo.com.au.
Banjo is currently in foster care in Maryville NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW). Banjo’s adoption fee is $700 and he will come vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
As Banjo is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a local vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
