About Lexie ~ 2yr Old Cavalier (On Trial 18/12/21)
Meet Lexie, she is a beautiful 2yr (nearly 3) Old Ruby King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who is looking for her forever home.
Lexie loves being outdoors in her backyard, sniffing, exploring and helping you with gardening or lazing in the sun, she loves sitting on our front verandah watching the world go by. Lexie enjoys inside time with her humans, watching movies or keeping you company if you work from home.
Since coming into our care Lexie has been settling in very well although still learning not to be nervous of the world around her. Lexie hadn't had any experience on a lead but we've been working on that, starting in our backyard then quieter streets to now walking to get a coffee and she loves it! Her tail wags and she wiggles her bottom when she even thinks there could be a walk. Lexie is a quiet girl with a big heart. She is a very curious girl and the more her confidence grows so does her curiosity and cheekiness. While in foster care she has had one accident inside, but will generally toilet outside when exploring (unless its raining, she’s not a fan of toileting in the rain!). She currently sleeps inside in her own comfy bed in her fosters carer bedroom.
Due to Lexie’s shy nature we feel her ideal forever home would be with a caring mumma, a couple or family but she is not suited to children. Lexie will not be able to cope in a loud, boisterous household. A socially savvy dog buddy would help her with her confidence, cats don’t worry her at all. She has tried to play with our small dog , unfortunately our dog is older and just not interested. Lexie needs a nurturing and caring environment, she takes a bit longer to warm to men but with patience she is realising everyone can be her friend! Lexie will need secure fencing so she can enjoy the outdoors safely and walks in quieter areas for the moment.
If you would like to help a shy dog come out of their shell, earn her trust and show her the world is a nice place it will be incredibly rewarding. In the short time we have been fostering Lexie she has blossomed.
For more information on Lexie, please contact her foster carer on their email edmwbull@bigpond.com Lexie is in foster care in Lambton, NSW and not available for adoption interstate.
Lexie’s adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Lexie please fill out the adoption application form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
