About Donald

Hi, I’m sir Donald and my foster mum says I’m a 6 year old puppy! Big boofhead is what I hear her say all the time, which I don’t really understand because all I want is to just be where she is in the quickest time!
I’m only just discovering this big wide world and everything is new and exciting to me! I love my toys and food, and I want to say hi to everything I see on walks. This means I pull a bit on lead and tend to want to go in another direction to foster mum, but she is trying to be patient and understands that in time I will be a much better boy on lead and have better manners when it comes to other dogs. Especially because I’m a quick learner.
I know my new home routine, including when to sleep, where we live, and how to go up and down those scary stairs. I also know when and where to do my toileting!
I get along well with other greyhounds, especially my big foster brother Elton who has quickly shown me all the good things in life I deserve, play with toys, eat all the snacks, choose from one of the 5 dog beds. Most of all the thing I’ve learned is that humans give greyt hugs and cuddles, especially when they rub my ears and belly - This is my favourite thing in the world, and I’d let foster mum do this to me 24 hours a day if she didn’t have to leave for something called “work”. I’ve learned to stay at home for 4 ½ hours periods twice a day, without much fuss, and I get snacks each time she leaves and takes me out for my wee mails at lunch. Even though I ‘m really wonderful at being a good boy and wait for her return for our twice daily walks, I’d be sooo happy if I had a little yard to run around in and burn off some of my youthful energy.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
