About Georgie Boy
Georgie Boy is a super chill greyhound. He loves spending his days snoozing on the lounge or in his bed next to my desk. He would suit someone who works from home easily or could suit someone who works away from home as long as he had access outside to toilet. He is toilet trained and will let you know if he is really busting to go out but if it’s an apartment, taking him out several times a day is needed.
When he is not snoozing he loves going for his walks. He knows the command ‘wait’ when crossing the road and loves meeting all the other doggos on his walks. Sometimes he gets so excited he pulls towards other dogs to meet them quicker. He loves dogs big and small, except when they jump on him, then he will growl at them but hasn’t shown aggression. If he can go from some zoomies in an enclosed dog park, he’ll have the best time.
He is also great with all humans big and small, and another doggie friend would be great company , but he is likely to chase cats so not suited to cat homes.
In the evenings, he loves to snuggle on the couch. He is super food oriented, give him some cheese or chicken and he’ll love you forever.
The Vet says he is a really good patient who let them check his teeth and cut his nails with no issues at all.
He travels well in the car, but sometimes is hesitant to get in. Once he knows the best way to get in and out of the car, it’s easy, especially if you put his favourite blanket in the back.
He would not be able to live in a house with stairs. He won’t walk down them. 1 or 2 stairs would be fine.
Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email par.adoptions@gmail.com if you would like further information.

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
