About Bruno
*safe with fenced chickens*
*not cat tolerant*
Hi, I'm Bruno and I just love people! Will you be my people?
I especially love people's hands, and I'll give them a really good lick, which is important in these days of strict hygiene.
I'm retired from racing at the ripe old age of three.
My coat is coming up nice and glossy and I have the sweetest little brindle streak on the back of my head (so I'm told).
My forever family must be committed to walking me each morning. Just a half hour or so, and I'll be much calmer all day. They'll also need to continue my training to walk nicely on a lead (I hardly ever pull now), and to contain my excitement when I see other happy dogs.
I've learnt 'lie down' (although I like to pop right up again) and I would probably like to learn more commands because I’m really smart and love to please!
I have been fostered with a female greyhound and I reckon we get along really well. Although sometimes she likes something called 'personal space', whatever that is. So I'd be happy to go to a home with a medium-to-large female doggy friend.
I'd probably also be fine as an only dog, getting all the attention.
My foster family has five people and it's so great, I get so many hugs and pats.
Another family with older kids would suit me beautifully.
I'm not protective of my bed or my food. I sometimes collect things to put on my bed but I don't chew.
I'm not cat-friendly but my foster home has chickens (securely fenced), and I think they're pretty boring really.
I can stay indoors at least 6 hours. I'm pretty laid-back around the house most of the day. But when you get home, be prepared for my enthusiastic greeting!
And if you're home, I'll be your furry shadow, just quietly checking out what you're doing and looking for pats.
With a bit more persistence and love I'll make the perfect gentleman.
Love,
Bruno 💖🐾
Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
