Shiro

Hi, my name's Shiro which means white in Japanese. I'm looking for a family for Christmas. I have recently discovered hugs and I am a big fan!

My ideal family will have someone that is always home. I get anxious when left alone and may bark. I need to be inside as much as possible. I sleep inside at night on someone's bed.

I like teenagers, especially if they like hugs. I would prefer to be the only dog and I get jealous of cats - I've discovered attention and I love it!

My fur is high maintenance and I do need to see the groomer regularly for a hygiene groom.

During the day, I go to the toilet outside but I haven't worked out night-time yet. I use puppy pads at night.

I would love a family who is willing to train me but will only use positive reinforcement. I don't respond to negative and will ignore you if you do. I have recently learnt to sit, learning to respond to my name, look my foster family in the eye, and fetch (when I feel like playing). I am able to learn so much more with patience and love.

Shiro had an unfortunate experience with another dog as a pup so is best suited to a home where he is an only dog and where his new family is willing to understand this. Breed knowledge would be preferable.
