About Dean
Dean is a calm, confident, sociable and playful puppy and is now on the lookout for his forever home.
This grey Rottweiler x pup is the most adorable boy!! He is going to be a large adult dog when fully grown so needs a family that will take the time to teach him manners now, he is just over 3 months old now and he is already 15kg! His extra soft coat and rolls-upon-rolls of skin (that he is still to grow into) will leave you gooing and gaahing at his cuteness!!
Dean's foster home has two large dogs and two cats. When playing with the big dogs, he needed a reminder of when puppy playtime was over but otherwise has interacted with them really well. When it comes to the kitty residents, Dean showed curiosity and then went back to his toys. He has been around young children (5-8 years old) and he played appropriately with them, however due to his soon to be size and strength he is best rehomed into a new home without young kids.
Dean loves the care and is normally very calm when ridding the car with his humans! He loves meeting new people, especially if they give him lots of cuddles and pats! He will make any family very happy with his calm and playful nature, but his new family will need to put some time into his training to make sure that he has the doggy manners that are needed before he becomes a big boy!
His new ideal home will:
- an adult only home, or one with teenage kids (no small children)
- a home that will be committed to training and socialising this pup (puppy school and ongoing obedience training will be essential)
- one with LOTS of love and cuddles to give!!!
Dean's adoption fee includes all of his medical work (he has been desexed, had his first vaccination, microchipped, flea and worm treated), a 12kg bag of premium large breed puppy food and a spot in our 5 week puppy school course at the SCAR shelter.
He is ready to go into his new home today... so don't hesitate to apply as we are sure that this gorgeous boy will not be around for long!!

**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption centre in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
