About Heidi
Heidi is the most gentle and soft natured dog you might ever meet. She is quiet and sweet. She loves to be with you. She has the most adorable puppy eyes.
She gets on really well and tolerates her vivacious and bouncy foster dog brother and she would be a perfect companion to any medium or larger dog, or an older small dog.
She could probably be an only dog and would get used to it in time. She would certainly prefer the company though if the owners worked long hrs. Untested alone.
She presently is home alone with her foster dog brother for 6-8 hrs x 4 days a week. No problems or naughtiness. She gets walked twice a day (short strolls, nothing particularly lengthy).
She probably wouldn't be trusted with a cat, but has not been tested.
She loves kids and is very gentle and quiet with them.
Fine in the car but as a typical greyhound finds it hard to balance on those long legs if you brake quickly.
She barks back if dogs bark at her through their fences when she is being taken for a walk. But otherwise she is completely non reactive and happily meets and greets other dogs. She is easy to walk (no pulling!).
She has not been scared of anything (not worried at all about storms or trains or loud noises).
She is calm at the local cafe and is happy to be out and about.
She can do all the stairs in a big Queenlander, and is impeccably housetrained.
In summary she is a complete sweetheart 💕.
