About Lexi
Meet Lexi
This little girl is an energetic, fun-loving whirlwind. She loves zoomies, water, toys, pats, and cuddles, and chasing anything that moves. Lexi is a full blow Fox Terrier with all the breed characteristics in full force.
Lexi came into care and needed to have patella surgery, our surgeon’s words to us were “her kneecap is in another postcode.” You would think this would have slowed her down but no, not a chance, Lexi is a tough little cookie and takes everything head on. We have been amazed at how well she has coped with the surgery and all her rehab, not one single thing thrown at her has fazed her in the least.
We are looking for a home on acreage where Lexi can chase rabbits, flies, or birds until the sun goes down, kids to play with would be a bonus. She would love to go on camping or hiking adventures to explore the big wide world and sniff all the good smells along the way.
Lexi is food motivated so will do well with training when food is a reward. She has been working on her lead work although gets excited easily at thing out and about and would like to check them out as quick as possible. She knows how to sit, wait at the door and for food, is toilet trained and crate trained. Lexi loves people, is good with cats, and very playful with other dogs but best to be an only dog as she can get Jealous of her people and belongings and not want to share.
Lexi must have physical and mental stimulation as she is very busy and will become bored if not entertained. She will bark at other dogs along fence lines so best not to have a yappy dog next door or it will do her head in.
If you are looking for an amusing, energetic, busy, funny character dog, Lexi is your girl. She will have you in stitches watch all her funny antics. Lexi will do well with further training to continue to develop self-control on her obsessive nature, but she has all the makings to be an absolute gem of a dog who is very loving and loyal.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the absolute best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
IF YOU CAN TICK ALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have a large secure yard.
• Lexi will not be alone more than 4hrs.
• You will allow Lexi to be part of the family and allow her access to indoors.
• You WILL enroll her in obedience training.
• You WILL provide her with mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer including FULL details on mental and physical stimulation you intend to provide will be considered. You will also need to include details on the obedience club you will be attending. PLEASE NOTE: if you provide basic details only, we will not process your application, nor will you receive any further communications.
Medical notes
Lexi had Patella surgery, she has healed well and her leg will continue to strengthen. Our specialist has predicted no further issues in the future

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
