About Bingo
Bingo is a very affectionate, people orientated dog, trustworthy around all humans, even very little ones. She is a dog who attaches strongly to her special human(s), and while she likes exploring, she does not wander far from home. At present she is on a rural property without dog fences and she enjoys the freedom of the environment, but can be trusted to stay around close to the house. Bingo is a mini athlete - alert, fast and agile, so she will need scope to run around off lead and get plenty of exercise. She loves to do zoomies with the other young dogs in her foster home, and also to play wrestling games with her puppy companion. Bingo is obedient in nature and responds excellently to treat training. Her recall is getting really good. She walks well on either a short lead or an extendable lead. Her very favourite activity is cuddling, and she is non-negotiable about her sleeping arrangements - it has to be on the bed cuddled up next to her human. At 13 kg she is on the small side of medium so she doesn't take up much room. While she is great with dogs she knows, she can be anxious about strange dogs and needs good introductions and a settling in period to avoid reactive behaviours.
Bingo comes from a remote community in the NT where she was fending for herself when a one of the teachers took her in and cared for her. She had her vet work in the NT, before she travelled south. Its been a big thing for her to cope with coming to the Big Smoke, but she has adapted so well. Bingo is a really special little girl and with the right human that she can trust and rely on, she will be an amazing family member.
Medical notes
As Bingo comes from the NT, where Erlichea is now endemic in the dog population, she has been tested for E. Canus. She is clinically well but her results were positive. She is nearing her course of treatment which is one month of antibiotics twice daily.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Bingo has travelled from Alice Springs via QANTAS Freight into foster care in Adelaide.
