About Lindo
Are you after a fun-loving best friend? Well, look no further as that is Lindo!
Lindo is an extremely happy character who is bound to make you laugh. He is super friendly with everyone that he meets and loves getting affection. Those belly rubs are definitely high on his list. He loves play time and would like a new family who can play fun games with him like tug of war.
This boy came to us as he had not been trained by his previous family. He has been spending time with a trainer in order to catch up on all his basics. Lindo is very responsive to training and super smart. He has learnt so much in a short period of time and has amazing potential. With ongoing training and practice he will absolutely blossom. Consequently, we are looking for adopters who have previous experience with obedience training and can enforce consistent boundaries at home to keep Lindo on the right track.
Lindo is friendly and playful with other dogs. He has been practicing good doggy manners with the other dogs at the training centre and has been having a ball. We will preference a home where he is a single dog and can be the sole focus of his new owners. However, he will need opportunities to be social and have playtime with other dogs in a controlled environment. Lindo will need daily walks and mental stimulation but he is not a high energy dog.
He has only lived as an outside dog previously and will need to be taught how to live inside the home with his family. Lindo would benefit from crate and/or place training to help with this but otherwise some consistent guidance should be all that is needed. He came to us overweight (at 17kg) and has been on a diet so this will also need to continue along with his daily exercise.
We are looking for an experienced home where he will be included in the daily activities and outings. He will need a home where someone is around as he is not used to being completely alone. We will preference a home without another dog or a very experienced family with another well trained and stable dog. Lindo is friendly with children but if there are children in the new home they must be able to participate in training activities and enforcing basic boundaries so over 12yo would be ideal. Whoever adopts this fella is in for a world of fun and will get a companion for life.
If you want that to be you then please apply by completing the dog adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
