About Poppy
Poppy is an absolute sweetheart! She would make the purrrfect addition to any family! She is a confident, sweet and affectionate kitty. She adores human company and just wants love and cuddles! She will always be purring, sitting on your lap, and rubbing up against you! She is a vocal, sweet, affectionate, playful and laidback kitten!
While in foster care, Poppy has enjoyed playing with her 5 kitten siblings, and cuddling up next to her humans! She is somewhat shy at first but quickly warms up to new people and has easily made friends with other cats.
From her foster carers:
Poppy has a sweet, cheeky, cute and adorable personality!
She is very social and is usually at the door ready to greet a visitor as soon as they knock. She loves pats and cuddles and is content to be carried around. She loves fluffy blankets and will lounge around on a bed all day if there's a blanket on top. She will take all her toys and hide them under the lounge so none of the other kittens can play with them.
Poppy is ready to fill your home with lots of love! She adores pats, chin scratches, belly rubs and cuddles. As she is still a kitten, she absolutely loves playing with her siblings and toys! She also enjoys climbing and perching on a cat tree to watch the birds outside.
While in foster care she has lived with a family of 4 (mum and three children), and is very patient and friendly with children.
Poppy is fully litter trained, happy to travel in a car (in her carrier) and is generally quite adaptable and easygoing.
Ideal family:
Poppy would suit either a loving family that will give her lots of attention and cuddles. Poppy is affectionate and will sit on your lap and lay in your bed.
Poppy would love a family that has flexible work arrangements or someone home a lot of the time. She would do well with a loving family, who can provide her with her own space initially while settling (e.g. a quiet area or a separate room).
She would love to be adopted with her one of her siblings, Blossom, Nanna, Peaches or Bruiser. Alternatively she would love to be adopted in a household with another friendly kitten to play with!
Suitability with other cats and pets:
Poppy does take some time to warm up to new adult cats, however, within a few days she will be cuddling and playing with them.
She has met a cat-friendly dog while in foster care. However, her interactions with this dog were short and supervised. She did growl and hiss at the dog a couple of times, and wasn’t completely comfortable. However, with slow introduction, separate areas and initial supervision Poppy would likely be happy to live with any pets.
