About 🐍Snape🐍
🥁🥁DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!🥁🥁
After getting his final post op check last week, we are thrilled to announce that Snape has been given a clean bill of health, thanks to his lifesaving surgery to repair his congenital peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia. 💖❤😍
Once again, our thanks go to the amazing team at Centre for Animal Referral & Emergency - CARE for taking such wonderful care of Snape!
This means that our little wizard is now ready to find his perfect forever!!! 🥳✨🎈
This is what his foster mum has to say about him!
“Are you looking for the perfect cat? Literally the perfect cat? Then look no further, you have found him! Snape is like no other cat I have ever known and in my lifetime, it is safe to say that some 50 cats have been a part of my life (permanent or foster) and this boy is incredible – loving, lovely, happy, playful, cuddly, kissy, communicative, clever and easy to train, sweet, smart, chatty, affectionate, curious, social, great in the car, excellent in a backpack or carrier his personality and character is just totally on point.
There are a couple of warnings that may need to come with Snape, especially for those who are used to ‘typical’ cats – he is very cuddly, if he could he would climb into your mouth to sleep. He knows no bounds when it comes to snuggling up to you. Right when you think he can’t get any closer, he will try to burrow deeper into your thigh, neck, arm pit, back or top of your head.
Next, he loves cereal, but ONLY with almond milk, so if this is how you start your day, begin planning to eat your breakfast standing up or shooing him away! But there’s a way around this – throw him some toys or roll something down your hallway and he will play, play, play, play, PLAY!
You will have a permanent little shadow. Even if you think he is fast asleep and it’s safe to go to another room, you are WRONG. Within seconds of leaving him, he will magically appear at your feet and give you a little “oh hey, whatcha doing?!?!”. This also means that you will never be able to go to the bathroom alone again. But who cares? Look at that face!!!
Snape will talk to you about everything and anything. He says “thanks” for cuddles, food, reciprocated chats, treats, because you stood up, because you went in the kitchen, because he’s sleepy, anything and it is the gosh darn cutest little voice you every did hear! He’s just the happiest chappy!
This is a super special boy. His confidence and social nature means that he is great with other animals but his affectionate nature also means he’d probably love to get all the attention in the house if he was a one man band! While he can be good with kids, he can only really cope with one at a time and preferably of the calmer disposition. He can be a little bit sensitive to over activity/noise and it’s the one thing (noise, too boisterous activity) that will see him pull away or hide, but is happy to reappear once the commotion is gone!”
Snape is now taking applications for his forever home! He’s 5 months old, is in care in Elwood and is available to applicants in Melbourne and surrounds. Snape’s medical history will be provided to his forever home, but he is now a normal, healthy little boy!
Snape is of course also desexed, microchipped, parasite treated and current in vaccinations and his adoption fee is $500, which is obviously a fraction of his surgery costs.
