Swayze

Hi im Swayze, i am a retired greyhound but am only 4 years old, so i am looking to be your big lounge lizard for the next decade.
I was a pretty good racer because i quite like to chase things. That means i want a home without kids and small animals. I am really enjoying being the only dog with my foster mum, because then she is all mine but i have lived with other dogs before.
I really like going for walks and going in the car. Im not very good at balancing on the back seat, i seem to always fall off but i still try to jump in the car any chance i get. Sometimes i refuse to get out of the car too 😂
I really like soft, fluffy, squeaky toys but once i have one i don’t want to give it back. You have to wait for me to get bored of it or destroy the squeaker before i will let you take it, that doesn’t take long though.
I don’t mind being left outside while you go out if i have shelter from the rain and the hot sun. If you are home i’ll just snooze wherever you are. These couch things are awesome, very comfortable.
I know to go to the toilet outside and i can hold on for ages.
I sleep a lot and i really like routine, i haven’t let Mum see me do a zoomy yet but i do get pretty excited when she comes home, I have to try really hard not to jump on her.
In really like cuddles off Mum, but i think its better to take it slow with strangers. We can build up to hugs. Mum thinks i get in her face too much, but i just love her so much i cant help it.
I like to see what you are up to all the time to check if you need help or if there is some yummy food involved, so i will follow you everywhere, or i will walk in front of you to try and guess where you are going, sometimes Mum and i get stuck in the hallway because i don’t know where she is going, she thinks its really annoying.
I don’t like loud noises and busy traffic, the loud moving cars make me nervous, and sirens, i really don’t like them. I hide in my crate when i hear them or try to change direction on our walks.
Mum says i am a really good boy on our walks because I walk right beside her and don’t bark at the other dogs, im pretty friendly to other dogs walking past too.
