Introducing tennis ball-catcher extraordinaire...Pluto!
Pluto is a happy go lucky chap who has been enjoying all of the new experiences and enrichment he has been receiving since arriving at RSPCA.
Pluto was surrendered when his owners moved to the mainland and decided not to take him with them, Pluto is a confident boy who settled in and made friends with staff instantly.
Even though he is an older dog, Pluto still has lots of energy to play and would be best suited to a household with moderate levels of activity to help keep him entertained. Pluto has not had positive experiences with children in the past, and will not be suited to a home with children or small pets.
Pluto had not had any vet treatment prior to arriving at RSPCA, along with being desexed - it was found Pluto also needed a dental surgery and chest x-rays to evaluate his heart condition.
While Pluto now has a winning smile, it was discovered that he has a heart condition and is required to be on heart medication daily for the remainder of his life - Pluto is very easy to medicate (some staff have even said he enjoys his daily tablet!) and it will be crucial that his new owner continues this medication and follows veterinary advice should he develop any new symptoms that may indicate further veterinary checks are required.
