About Chooggie
This little man came with Chok Dee as his name, which is Thai for lucky, we had problems calling it and getting him to come so we rolled it together as Chooggi. Chooggi is fine when out playing with his mates all day, but when you put him to bed at night he cries himself to sleep even when he can see his mates. Once it is dark he settles until the morning comes, then cries until he is let out. He is getting a lot better as he is sleeping in a crate in the house at night in the family room so he still feels a part of what is happening around him. We have put this down to anxiety and have found he responds well to calming music. He is a very bright young man and willing to learn. He would be better in a family where there is someone always at home to keep him company. He loves playing with other dogs and gets on well so again it would be great if he could grow up with an older calmer patient dog. He would also be great at obedience, agility or something similar as this would distract him and tire him out. He is an affectionate pup so is suitable for school aged kids too!
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
