About Latte
Latte has a big story. She came into care heavily pregnant and wary of humans and new things. Slowly she began to understand that she'd always have food and water. As her pregnancy grew closer to giving birth she tried to trust me, her foster dad and uncle. She'd slowly offer up her ear or shoulder for a scritch before letting me scritch her chin. Until one morning 2 weeks later her humans woke up and she'd already given birth to 2 babies. She decided that Foster mum was trustworthy when she allowed me to hold her while she gave birth to her last two. She was a very attentive mother who made sure her babies were fed and warm. She'd take breaks and let myself and my housemate check in on them. As they grew Latte started to come out of her shell. She began to ask for more pats and love, she still has her street wariness meaning she needs to take things slowly and at her pace, she becomes head shy and protects her neck. We don't know how long she had to survive on the streets. She still doesn't like being picked up and gets anxious when she's being carried. She doesn't like dogs and noisy young children would be very stressful for her. Latte loves feeling safe and she's shown she can trust again.-
