Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Please note: Elektra is great with dogs and cats and will be rehomed with her sibling Moneypenny Kidgerbury or another friendly, young cat. She won't be suited to a home with children under 10/12 years.
Hi, I'm Elektra Kidgerbury. I'm curious and adventurous. I love to check stuff out, explore, climb and play so during the day I'm a little too busy to curl up with you. But don't be upset, when I get sleepy, I love to climb up your chair and squeeze myself between your back and the seat; it's just so warm and cozy there.
Now, don't be fooled by my fluffy exterior, I'm a real rough and tumble kind of girl. I like to run and pounce and chase my sparkly pom-pom balls and ribbons around. You don't want to get your hand or foot in the way of my game, because I'll take it down like a lioness hunting her prey. My motto in life - play hard.
I'm definitely the kind of kitten who wants to live with some other furry friends. I have met some huge dogs and they were pretty nice, they did lots of sniffing but I didn't mind. I don't like to spend time alone, every activity I do is best with a partner. My sister, Moneypenny, is pretty fun to hang out with (despite the fact that she believes she's the cutest. She's not by the way, have you seen my hairdo?!). Together we pounce and bounce all over the house. We make our foster mummy laugh all the time and she says the two of us together are chaos, but the best kind of it.
I'm off to chase some sparkly balls. I've got a lot of love to give, so I hope I don't have to wait too long for you to find me!
Oh! One thing I forgot, I do have long fur so you'll need to be prepared to brush me when I'm older. Got to go, I'm so busy, busy, busy. Bye xxx

We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
