About James Kidgerbury
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/about-vicdrg/adoption-and-foster-application-forms.html
Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Please note: James is great with dogs and cats and will be rehomed with his sibling Domino Derval Kidgerbury or another friendly, young cat. He won't be suited to a home with children under 10/12 years.
I'm Bond, James Bond. Well... actually my brother is Bond, I'm just 'James' but I won't let that get in the way of a good opening line. Where was I? Oh that's right...
I'm Bond. James Bond. Licensed to pounce.
I am a people enthusiast and will greet you every day by running straight at your feet and pouncing on them! I especially love people who wear shoes with laces. My favourite game is to sit on a shoe and untie the bow.. then never let go!
I also like quiet time, rolling on my back having my tummy stroked. It makes me explode in a purr and I can't help but stretch out my front legs for an arm pit tickle. Ok, so occasionally I'll take advantage of this situation to turn it into a game of 'attack the fingers', but I'm very gentle and it's all just in good fun.
I am an excellent pouncer and really enjoy a good rough and tumble. My very favourite game is running through our tunnel and executing a SURPRISE ATTACK on any unsuspecting passerby. My brother, Domino, is the most fun to pounce on. He gives me back a good left-right paw to the face and tries to take over the tackle (not that he can win against a pouncer with my expertise but I like that he tries). He's the best sidekick I could ask for. We do everything together from napping to pouncing and exploring. Life wouldn't be the same without him so I'm really hoping to find a home to share with him.
I'm a little nervous at first when meeting doggies, but if they're polite I'm pretty happy to say hello (just so you know, we're not talking little pint sized ones, these ones could knock you over with one lick!)
So if you're looking for a:
~ Licensed Pouncer
~ People enthusiast
~ Tummy tickle appreciator; and
~ All around cool dude.
What are you waiting for? Hit that apply button and come and meet me (and Domino) today!

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
